  In order to participate in any fieldtrip, you must be fingerprinted by the district.  I believe the cost is $60.00 and it lasts 6 years.

If you are interested in chaperoning for any fieldtrip you MUST be FINGERPRINTED by the DISTRICT.   Please see Tammy or me for more information.

VOLUNTEER PAPERWORK/FINGERPRINTING

All volunteers will need to complete the bright red volunteer form before working in the classroom/school. This is new, but necessary for ALL volunteers. Also, no adult can be in a situation where he or she is alone with a child, even to walk him/her somewhere on campus for the teacher, unless they have been fingerprinted. The fee paid for fingerprinting/background check is eligible for parent hours (1 hour per $5.00). You received a form in your first day packet. If you need another one see Tammy in the office. The red form should be returned to Tammy. The fingerprinting is done at the Serna Center, 5735 47th Avenue (Stockton Boulevard and 47 Ave.). You will need to take the fingerprinting form there to have the process completed. SCUSD Volunteer office (916) 643-7924

Plan ahead!  Write down your assignments everyday!  Plan your Social Studies assignments around your after school schedule

Organize your work into a binder!

Set a timer for each assignment.

Give yourself a reward after finishing your work!

If you can do more....DO MORE!!!  Show me what you are capable of doing!!
